Solstice Blessings....

When this posts I will be preparing to light my candles at sunset on the shortest day.   I have oak and mistletoe for blessing my home and family and will be spending a quiet evening at home with my thoughts and memories.

It hasn't been an easy year but I have hopes for a brighter, more settled and peaceful year next year.  I wish everyone a happy festive season how ever they celebrate.

The longest night has come once more,
the sun has set, and darkness fallen.
The trees are bare, the earth asleep,
and the skies are cold and black.
Yet tonight we rejoice, in this longest night,
embracing the darkness that enfolds us.
We welcome the night and all that it holds,
as the light of the stars shines down.
